Wooden architecture photo exhibition opened in Ufa

On November 27, a photo exhibition “Wooden Architecture of Ufa. Past and present" opened in the Republican Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “Ancient Ufa”.

At the exhibition, you can see images of wooden architecture objects in Ufa, supplemented by archival and modern photographs of historical monuments. The paintings presented at the exhibition were made on April 18, 2019, during the city plein air “Alone with Ufa ...” by professional artists of the Republic of Bashkortostan. These are the works by Sagit Gimaletdinov "Vakhmyaninskaya Bath", Alina Halitova "Windows. The Main House ”, Igor Tonkonogy “The Main House of the Bukhartovsky Manor”, Elena Tsukanova “The Kosterins House”, Elena Verevkina “Big Kazan Street. Apple Haze”, Renata Malyutina “The Corner of Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya and Novomostovaya Streets” and others. Artists on their canvases captured how our city and architectural monuments look like on the day of the plein air.

“The general concept of the exhibition is to acquaint visitors with the historical past and traditional life of the inhabitants of Ufa using museum objects, replenish knowledge in the field of city history, local history, culture of the peoples of Bashkortostan, and popularize the cultural heritage of the capital”, the exhibition organizers inform.

The exhibition also features elements of the decoration of a wooden house facade, reconstruction of the interior of the house, furniture, samples of folk embroidery, woodworking tools of craftsmen.

The exhibition is located at Lesotekhnikum Street, 49. The exhibition runs until March 6, 2020.
