Ildar Abdrazakov is nominated for International Classical Music Award in two categories

UFA, 25 November 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Ildar Abdrazakov is nominated for the ICMA (International Classical Music Awards) in two categories.
The performance “Italian in Algeria” by J. Rossini of the Salzburg Festival, in which Ildar played the comic role of Mustafa Bey, is claimed for a prestigious award. The performance was nominated including Cecilia Bartoli, Edgardo Roch, Ildar Abdrazakov, Vienna Philharmonic Choir and the Mateus Ensemble with conductor Jean-Christophe Spinozi.
Ildar Abdrazakov’s Verdi debut solo album on Deutsche Gramophone label was nominated in the Vocal Music nomination. A star cast, including Ildar Abdrazakov, Rolando Villason and the Metropolitan Orchestra (Montreal) conducted by Yannick Neze Segen took part in the recording of Verdi's arias and scenes.
In total, the jury of the International Classical Music Awards nominated 390 audio and video recordings for 130 labels. Only those whose release was nominated by at least two members of the jury were included in the long list.
The finalists will be announced on December 16, and the names of the ICMA winners will became known on January 21, 2020. The award ceremony and gala concert are planned at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville on April 30, 2020 with the participation of the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville, conducted by John Axelrod.
