Bashkir Faizy Gaskarov Ensemble goes on tour to Vietnam

The State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble named after Fayzi Gaskarov goes on a tour to Vietnam on its anniversary season. As part of the tour, concerts will be held in three cities, ensemble director Almaz Saetov said at a press conference today.

The trip program is very eventful. November 28, the concert will be held in the Cultural Center of Hanoi, December 1 - in the Youth Palace of the city of Vung Tau, December 2 - at the Opera and Ballet Theater in Ho Chi Minh City. Vung Tau - the twin city of Ufa. Creative meetings will be held there with Vietnamese colleagues from the team of the twin city, and a cultural program is also provided.

“Our tour will take place as part of the cross-year of Russia in Vietnam and Vietnam in Russia. In Vietnam, we will represent not only Bashkortostan but also Russia; events will be held with the participation of the Ambassador of our country. Therefore, we will show both Russian and Bashkir dances and the dances of the peoples of Russia - Tatar, Chuvash, Mari, Adyghe, and others. Our team will include 49 people,” Almaz Saetov said.

The team in Vietnam will not only show the best examples of choreography from their repertoire but also enrich themselves with a new dance. There is an agreement with a famous Vietnamese producer who will teach Bashkir artists the basics of local choreography in a few hours.

Also, during a trip to Vietnam, the team plans to continue the flash mob of Bashkir dances, supported by the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov.

It is interesting that the first foreign tour for the Bashkir ensemble was a tour to the Republic of Vietnam. Then the team was on a long trip from October 18, 1955, to January 6, 1956.

The State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble named after Fayzi Gaskarov of the Republic of Bashkortostan, is one of the leading professional choreographic groups in Russia. This year the team celebrated its 80th anniversary. Over the years of its existence, the ensemble has visited more than 60 countries of the world, representing the culture and art of Bashkortostan and Russia on the world stage. The team was awarded the Salavat Yulaev Republican Prize; awarded the “Badge of Honor” of the State Historical and Cultural Center under the Government of the Russian Federation; it was awarded the Fame prize established by the Russian newspaper Izvestia; awarded the gold medal "Five Continents" and the diploma "Ambassador of Peace" of UNESCO.
