Bashopera presents special show of Tsar’s Bride with invited soloists

The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater and Business Ufa radio station present a special show of “Tsar's Bride”, one of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's most famous operas.
On December 1, invited soloists will take part in a special performance: Honored Artist of Russia, baritone Sergey Toptygin (Helikon Opera, Moscow) will perform the role of Grigory Gryaznoy; Marfa’s part will be performed by the laureate of Russian and international competitions, the soprano Naziya Aminyeva (St. Petersburg Musical Theater “Zazerkalye”), the conductor Marat Akhmet-Zaripov, Honored Artist of Bashkortostan.
“The Tsar’s Bride” is the first production of Philip Razenkov as the main director of Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater. The performance was included in the long list of the most notable premieres of the Russian National Theater Award "Golden Mask" season 2017-2018. The premiere of the performance was marked by famous Russian critics.
According to the theater’s press service, for four months the work on the performance continued in the sewing, scene and decoration workshops of the theater. 700 m of metal-burnt fabric was used to make soft decorations. 114 items of props were created, about 200 costumes and hats made for the characters of the opera. More than 130 people are involved in the performance - soloists, artists of the choir and orchestra.
