“URAL PRINT TRIENNIAL 2019” exhibition will open in Ufa

On November 15, the graphics triennial opens in Ufa. The main competitive exhibition is located in the halls of the first and second floors of the M.V. Nesterov Bashkir State Art Museum. The beginning is at 5.00 pm. Free admission.

The competition introduces the viewer to the current level of printed graphics in the world. 213 authors from 43 countries participate in the exposition. Total, about 800 works were submitted. The jury of the qualifying round selected less than 500 to participate in the competition.

The main jury of the graphic competition is Hayk Grigoryan (Armenia-Spain), Roman Sustov (Belarus), Vladimir Zuev and Ayrat Teregulov (Russia) and art critic Irina Oskina (Russia).

In 2019, the project included the following satellite exhibitions: “Bashkir Graphics”, three personal mini-exhibitions of the triennial jury members - Heritage of the World Hayk Grigoryan, Architectural Album by Vladimir Zuev and Stalker Roman Sustov.

According to the organizers, all the works participating in the competition at the end of the exhibition remain in the collection of the Bashkir State Art Museum named after M.V. Nesterov. Over the 24 years of the existence of this project, the museum has collected a unique collection of world art graphics.

URAL PRINT TRIENNIAL 2019 is a competitive exhibition that has been held in Ufa since 1995 once every three years. Due to this project, Ufa has been one of the graphic centers in the international space of contemporary art for over two decades. The project of the triennial consists of a number of graphic exhibitions - the main competition and satellite exhibitions.
