Tatar Culture Center presented Bashkiria tourism at exhibition in Canadian Montreal

UFA, 7 November 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The Tatar Culture Center “Miras” in Montreal presented Bashkortostan and Tatarstan at a major international tourism exhibition, and the 25th International Maple Leaves Art Festival.
"Miras" showed a 20-minute concert program with Bashkir and Tatar songs, dances to numerous participants and visitors.
A gala concert was also held in Montreal, concluding the 25th International Maple Leaves Art Festival.
At the opening of the festival, the Miras vocal trio (Kamila Faskhutdinova, Adele Usmanova, Erika Ellingsen), under the direction of Kamila Faskhutdinova, performed a Bashkir song.
The main event of the year for Miras was, as always, Sabantuy Montreal-2019 - the most representative Sabantuy in Canada, in which Tatars and Bashkirs from Toronto and Ottawa also take part. The Miras Center is a member of the Board of the Quebec Heritage organization and has been holding a Sabantuy as a city holiday since 2019, where the heads of local folk groups and public organizations, members of the board of municipalities and the Consulate General of the Russian Federation come to greet participants. Zilya Mirgalieva, the head of the Miras Tatar Culture Center, will be a coordinator of the cultural program of the next “Salin Tourisme et Voyage Montreal-2020” exhibition.
