Folkloriada commission completed inspections in northern festival district

In Bashkortostan, active preparations for the 6th World Festival of Folklore CIOFF® (6th World Folkloriada CIOFF® - 2020) are ongoing.

For the first time in the history of the project, 85 foreign teams will take part in Folkloriada. Among them there are ethnic delegates, representatives of the youth movement, dancers and musicians, masters of arts and crafts. All areas and cities of our republic will welcome foreign guests for 14 days. ⠀

The republic is conditionally divided into ten festival districts. On October 15-16, members of the Directorate for the preparation and conducting the 6th World Folklore Festival CIOFF® (6th World Folkloriada CIOFF® - 2020) completed inspections in the northern festival district.

The northern district includes Birsky, Mishkinsky, Karaidelsky, Askinsky, Tatyshlinsky, Baltachevsky and Buraevsky districts of our republic. A working group led by Zarina Khasanova, deputy head of the Directorate for the preparation and conducting the World Folkloriada 2020, carried out inspections.

Traditionally, meetings were held in all regions with the participation of representatives of the district administration, police, medical services, education, and culture. During the inspection, not only the venues of the concert program were determined, but also the food courts, the streets along which the costumed processions of the participants will go along.

During the inspection, the commission looked at the stage (street) venues, recreation centers, exhibition venues; dressing rooms, etc. ⠀

The World Folkloriada 2020 in Russia promises to be the largest in the history of the project. In addition to the main program, an Ethnic Day will also be organized for festival participants. It will be a day of rest for all participants of the festival. Each festival district at a certain venue organizes an event where foreign guests will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the history, multinational culture of not only our region but also Russia.
