"First Republic" film will take part in Asian Film Festival in Los Angeles

The historical feature film "The First Republic" by Bulat Yusupov was selected to participate in the competitive program of the Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles.

The festival will be held in Culver City of Los Angeles from November 6 to 14, 2019. Films from more than 50 countries of Asia, from Turkey to Japan and from Russia to India, will be presented at the festival. The uniqueness of the festival is that it mainly shows films from the Asian continent, which are presented at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) and Golden Globes as the best films in foreign languages.

According to the organizers of the festival, the participants will have a unique opportunity to demonstrate their films at the Academy, at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which runs the Golden Globes.

The full-length feature historical film «First Republic» was released in 2019, the year of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan. At the heart of the picture is the real story of the creation of our republic, the fate of prominent public figures, scientists, poets and writers, composers.
