The second day of competitive screenings of the International Silver Akbuzat Film Festival ended in the Ufa cinema "Rodina". Viewers had an opportunity to see more than 30 films, among them “Hot Tortilla” (Uzbekistan), “Aurora” (Kyrgyzstan), “The Sun is Shining Over Me” (Russia, Sakha-Yakutia), “Kazakh Khanate. Golden Throne ”(Kazakhstan) and the world premiere of the film “I Was Sleeping When Happiness Was Passing By”(Lithuania).
In just two days, about 5 thousand people managed to attend the festival shows. Honored guests of the festival take an active part in the life of the festival. The jury, led by Sergey Shakurov, reviews the competition program in special cinemas, the directors and actors of the presented films are present at the shows and answer spectators' questions.
August 26, will be the final day of full-length feature films, short feature films, and documentaries screenings. The winners of the festival will be announced on August 27 at the closing ceremony of the festival, which will be held in the Toratau Congress Hall. The winners of each nomination will be awarded figurines in the form of a winged horse (bronze in jewelry silver) by Arslan Bikbaev and Salavat Ganeev. The holder of the Grand Prix of the Silver Akbuzat Film Festival will also receive a memorable figurine and a million rubles.
As previously reported, films from Australia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, India, China, Myanmar, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Nepal, Moldova, Rwanda, Uzbekistan, France, South Korea take part in the competition program of the 4th International Silver Akbuzat Film Festival. Russia is represented by seven films from Bashkortostan, as well as films from North Ossetia-Alania, Khakassia, the Chechen Republic, Tatarstan, Dagestan, Buryatia, Yakutia, Samara Region, St. Petersburg, Moscow, and the Moscow Region. In total, applications from 34 subjects of the Russian Federation and 28 countries were received for the film festival. Within the framework of the festival, along with the competitive program, it is planned to conduct exclusive shows, exhibitions, creative meetings, round tables, and masterclasses.
