Horse-riding and traditional archery festival will be held in Bashkiria

On August 23-25, the 4th International Horse-Riding and Traditional Archery Festival "Mergen Uksy" will be held in Bashkortostan. The village of Imendyashevo at the foot of Uklykaya Mountain, Gafurisky District was chosen as its venue.

As part of the event, a horse-riding shooting tournament for the prize of the head of the administration of the Gafurisky District will be organized. The 12 best archers of the republic will be revealed during the traditional archery tournament "Mergen Uksy". They will represent the republic during the year in regional and international archery tournaments. The Eurasia Cup Tournament is scheduled for August 25.

“This year 107 archers registered for participation, among them - representatives of Turkey, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Russian regions - Omsk, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Moscow, Kazan, the cities of Dagestan, Bashkortostan,” said one of the organizers Gulgina Baimurzina.

Seminars and masterclasses in traditional archery, cooking of Bashkir cuisine dishes, an exhibition of decorative and applied arts and crafts will be held at the festival venues.

The festival is carried out for the fourth time. During this time, it became popular both in the republic and abroad. Visitors from neighboring countries and regions of Russia usually come to watch a spectacular event.
