Souvenir of “Ancient Ufa” museum is recognized as best “Tourist Souvenir of Bashkortostan”

The Republican Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Ancient Ufa" took part in the republican competition "Tourist Souvenir of Bashkortostan", which was held in the Gostiny Dvor of Ufa on August 6.

Participants from many districts and cities of Bashkortostan arrived at the contest. The presented works were evaluated by an expert committee led by the founder of the All-Russian festival-competition “Tourist Souvenir” Gennady Shatalov.

Souvenir products of the museum-reserve with the image of a man’s head on the background of the Mercator’s map with information about the unique medieval monument “Ufa-II Settlement” “Khan” took 1st place in the “Museum Souvenir” nomination. The original artifact "Khan" is stored in the funds of the museum-reserve "Ancient Ufa", it dates from the 7th-8th centuries.

The second place went to the items of the M.V. Nesterov’s Bashkir State Art Museum, the third place – to the souvenirs of the Republican Museum of Military Glory.

The best projects following the results of the regional competition will take part in the final of the All-Russian festival - the “Tourism Souvenir-2019” competition, which will be held in Saratov in October.

The “Tourism Souvenir” competition was established to create a communication platform for the exchange of experience in the production and sale of tourist souvenirs, the revival and development of folk arts and crafts, and the development of domestic tourist souvenirs market.
