Miras Song and Dance Ensemble performed at festivals in Bulgaria

The Ufa “Miras” Song and Dance Ensemble returned from a tour from Bulgaria. The team took part in several festivals, which included 20 performances in the cities of Veliko Tarnovo, Sevlievo, Dobrich and Varna, where tens of thousands of spectators were present. The ensemble with great success presented Bashkortostan as a region of Russia and became one of the favorites of the festival.
The participating countries from Bulgaria, Argentina, Georgia, Panama, China, Colombia, and Egypt also presented their culture at the events. The starting performance in Bulgaria was the participation in the 22nd Veliko Tarnovo International Folklore Festival. The festival has been held since 1998 under the auspices of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF). Over the 20-year history, 600 concerts, 271 ensembles from 113 countries of five continents with a total number of spectators of 590 thousand people were given at the festival stages.
“As part of the event, official reception of representatives of festival delegations was held at the city hall of Veliko Tarnovo. In a friendly atmosphere, the parties exchanged gifts and left memorable entries in the book of honored guests with wishes for further success to the festival.
One of the highlights of the festival was a joint concert of the Miras Song and Dance Ensemble and the Sohag National Ensemble from Egypt in Dobrich. The event was also attended by Mayor of the city Boyan Kostov Kolarovi and CIOFF President of Bulgaria Emil Pavlov. They addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, wished them good luck and creative success. Honored guests, representatives of the mayor's office and heads of delegations in Veliko Tarnovo visited the Bashkir cuisine night. The artists of the collective treated the guests to bishbarmak, bak-belyash, korot, kazylyk, talkan, honey.
The grand closing of the international event took place in the open air at the Summer Theater in Marno Field Park. Local organizers and the public especially marked the strong choreography and professionalism of the teams from Argentina, Georgia, and Russia. Total, 11 ensembles, 200 foreign and 150 Bulgarian artists took part in the festival.
Further, the Miras Song and Dance Ensemble traveled to Varna, where it presented the culture of Bashkortostan and Russia at the 28th Varna Summer International Folklore Festival. Within seven days, countries such as Slovakia, Argentina, Georgia, Colombia, Bulgaria, Spain, and Armenia also presented their folklore. At the closing ceremony of the festival, “Miras” again closed the concert finale, being recognized as one of the best groups in the event.
