Marcel Salimov held master class at All-Russian Literature Festival in Tyumen

In the ancient Russian city of Tyumen, the 4th All-Russian Literature Festival of Festivals "LIFFT-2019" was held. It was dedicated to the International Year of Indigenous Languages and the 75th anniversary of the Tyumen region.
Over 200 poets, prose writers, playwrights, publicists, and literary critics came from all over Russia and from abroad. Bashkortostan was represented by the famous satirist poet, silver laureate of the "LIFFT" festival Marcel Salimov and a young poet from Davlekanovsky district Vladimir Rodin.
For three days, speeches, discussions, roundtables, and creative meetings with famous writers lasted. Marcel Salimov held a master class on the role of satirical poetry in modern literature and society. He spoke about the news in the literary and cultural life of Bashkortostan, events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the first republic within the Russian Federation and the 100th birth anniversary of the national poet Mustai Karim. In conclusion, he donated his books to the Tyumen Regional Library named after D.I. Mendeleev.
As part of the program for celebrating the Day of the city of Tyumen, a poetry concert "Poetry in the Languages of Indigenous Peoples" was organized. Marcel Salimov read his best poem "Multilingual Bashkirs" in the Bashkir language. His satirical works were published in the All-Russian literary magazine "LiFFT".
The famous Moscow poet and songwriter Viktor Pelenyagre became the gold winner of the festival in Tyumen. According to the terms of the festival, this means that “LIFFT-2020” will be held in Moscow. At the closing ceremony of the festival, Margarita Al, the Chairman of the Literature Council of the Eurasian Peoples 'Assembly, President of "LIFFT", presented Marcel Salimov with a certificate of a member of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly. The eminent Bashkir satirist is invited as the international speaker at the 4th Eurasian Literary Festival, which will be held in early October in Baku.
