International Summer School at Nureyev Choreographic College completed in Ufa

The International Summer School ended at the Bashkir Choreographic College named after R. Nureyev. 22 young dancers and seven teachers from Japan took part in the project program, the press service of the Ministry of Culture RB informs. The initiator of the summer school in Ufa was a teacher of classical dance, a graduate of the A.Ya. Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy Almazbek Shamyraliyev.

The school closed with a gala concert of the participants who received certificates of graduation. The first part featured the results of a 10-day study. College students and graduates assisted young Japanese dancers. The second part was devoted to compositions that young artists from Japan learned with their teachers.

“I think this project will certainly take place for the third and fourth time. We will be happy to welcome our guests. This is an exciting collaboration, ”noted the art director of the Nureyev Choreographic College, Chief Choreographer of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater, People’s Artist of Russia and the Republic of Bashkortostan Leonora Kuvatova.

The college teachers noted the excellent preparation of children, the high level of development of the program, and their genuine interest in dancing. A storm of the audience applause accompanied each performance.

From July 28 to July 30, seven lecturers and workshops from leading specialists of the college were organized. Among the guests, there was a famous personality in Japanese dance art Nunome Sachiko, the organizer of a ballet contest and school in Japan.

Nunome Sachiko reported that a possibility of Ufa students participation in Sachi-san school and competition events was already being discussed. The project is under development.
