6th International Film Festival Silver Akbuzat program is announced

The 6th International Film Festival "Silver Akbuzat" will be held in Ufa from August 24 to 27.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture RB, an opening ceremony will be carried out at the "Bashkortostan" State Concert Hall. The red carpet will be prepared for the guests of the festival and after the opening ceremony, the festival participants will go to “Vatan” Park at the “Day of 1000 Musicians” event.

The geography of the festival has significantly expanded this year: 48 films from 12 regions of Russia and 15 countries of the near and far abroad will be presented at it. Total, the organizing committee received applications from 34 regions of the country and 28 states. For the first time, the festival reached the intercontinental level: participants will come from Nepal, Iran, India, Indonesia, Lithuania, France, Poland, Moldova and other parts of the world.

The Ufa audience will be able to see the works of two Oscar nominees, winners of various film forums, as well as Russian premieres. Among the guests of honor is the actor of the TV series “Magnificent Century” Selim Bayraktar.

Along with the shows of competitive films, master classes, creative meetings, discussion platforms and performances of creative teams will be organized. Young cinema lovers will have a unique opportunity to meet with the cult Polish film director Krzysztof Zanussi.

On Monday, August 26, for the first time in Ufa, an exhibition of cinema equipment will be held in the Art-KVADRAT creative cluster, where Ufa residents will be able to familiarize themselves with film shows and have consultations and masterclasses in camera skills from leading professionals of Bashkortostan.

All film screenings will be held at the "Rodina" cinema. Admission is free.

The film festival will end at the "Toratau" Congress Hall on Tuesday, August 27. On the same evening, in the framework of the “Symphonic Night” project, the best musicians of the republic will perform compositions from films that are considered classics of Russian and world cinema at the “Vatan” Ethnic Park.
