Suymbyul Agha from the "Magnificent Century" will come at "Silver Akbuzat" Film Festival in Ufa

Russian stars Danil Spivakovsky, Sergey Nikonenko, Sergey Shakurov will arrive in Ufa at the 4th International Festival of National, Ethnic and Motivational Films “Silver Akbuzat”.

A special guest is an Iraqi actor who played the chief eunuch of the sultan's harem Suymbyul Agha in the “The Magnificent Century” series, Selim Bayraktar.

The festival will be held in Ufa from August 24 to 27 after a two-year break. The program will feature 48 films from 10 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and 10 countries of near and far abroad. In total, the festival received applications from 34 regions of the Russian Federation and 28 states.

The ceremonial opening of the "Silver Akbuzat" will be held at the "Bashkortostan" State Concert Hall on August 24. The opening film will be “The First Republic” by Bulat Yusupov. On the same day, screenings of full-length, short-length and documentary films will begin in the Rodina cinema.

A number of premieres will be held as part of the film festival - the Russian audience will see new films of both domestic and foreign production. These are “Hot Cake” (Uzbekistan), “Sultan Agung” (Indonesia), “Ma.Ama” (India-China).

The geography of the participants of the fourth film festival Silver Akbuzat has expanded considerably. Films from Africa, Australia, India, Iran, Indonesia, Nepal, Lithuania, France, Poland, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan will be presented.

According to the organizers, a list of all the works of the festival participants will be presented on the website of Silver Akbuzat.

As part of the out-of-competition program, there will be screenings of Bashkir feature films and animated short films made in recent years, feature films and documentaries of Russian and foreign production, a retrospective show of films by the founder of the Bashkir cinema Amir Abdrazakov. Also scheduled for the round table, creative meetings with prominent figures of cinema, in particular, with the cult Polish film director Krzysztof Zanussi, master classes, cultural and entertainment programs, an exhibition of cinema equipment.

As the director of the event, director of the Bashkortostan film studio Yunir Aminev informs, films will be judged by the star of the film Sportloto-82, Algis Arlauskas (Spain), Bulgarian writer Mona Choban, director Sergey Shanovich (Moscow), Moscow filmmakers Fluza Farhshatova, Guzel Kireeva. Film director Bulat Yusupov will work in the jury from Bashkortostan. The jury will be headed by the famous theater and film actor, People’s Artist of Russia Sergey Shakurov.
