Tatars and Bashkirs Association of Switzerland invites to traditional Sabantuy festivities

The Association of Tatars and Bashkirs of Switzerland "Yuldash" invites to visit the annual national holiday "Sabantuy". It is planned in the already traditional place - Geneva Park “Marignac” on June 22. The holiday will open in the Bashkir and Tatar languages, then it will be held in Russian and French. On this special day of memory and grief, the first part of the program will be dedicated to the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War.

The leading soloist of the Fayzi Gaskarov State Academic Ensemble of Folk Dance Milyausha Khaibullina and the Chairman of the Union of Kurai Players RB Artur Gaisarov, as well as artists of the Republic of Tatarstan, are expected among the honored guests. The concert program includes artists from Switzerland, Russia and neighboring France.

Besides, guests will able to taste national delicacies, which they so miss outside their homes. Of course, this is chak-chak, belyashi and Bashkir honey.

Sabantuy cannot be held without sports competitions for adults and children, among which the most unusual and bright, of course, is kuresh (belt) wrestling, very similar to the Swiss national wrestling.
