Famous Polish director Krzysztof Zanussi will visit “Silver Akbuzat” in Ufa

The world cinema classic, an outstanding Polish film director, screenwriter and producer Krzysztof Zanussi arrives in Ufa to close the 4th International Film Festival Silver Akbuzat. He will be the guest of honor of the festival.

Krzysztof Zanussi is the winner of 62 prestigious awards, including three prizes of festivals in Cannes, Locarno, and Moscow, the prize of the Berlinale, Rotterdam, and Tokyo shows. The winner of the main prize of the Venice Film Festival "Golden Lion" ("A Year of the Quiet Sun", 1984). Since 1966, he has shot 82 documentaries, short films and feature films in Poland and abroad. On June 17, Krzysztof Zanussi will be 80 years old.

During the round table, which will be held on August 27 in the “Toratau” Congress Hall, the classic of world cinema will give a presentation on Polish cinema, meet with students, and also take part in the closing ceremony of the film festival, which will be held on the Day of Russian Cinema.

The 4th International Festival «Silver Akbuzat» will be held in Ufa on August 24-27. The organizers promise that this time the festival will be even bigger than in previous years, and Ufa residents will be able to enjoy a more extensive competitive program, and participation of famous foreign and Russian filmmakers.
