Star of Ralph Fiennes’ movie "Nureyev. The White Crow" will perform in Ufa

Oleg Ivenko, the star of Ralph Fiennes movie "Nureyev. The White Crow" will perform a part of Basil in the ballet Don Quixote by Ludwig Minkus on the stage of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater on June 15. This was reported by the press service of the theater.

Oleg Ivenko is a lead dancer of the Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Musa Jalil, Honored Artist of Tatarstan, winner of international competitions. He graduated from Kharkov Choreographic School in 2006, Belarusian State Choreographic College in 2010. He joined the ballet company of the Musa Jalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theater in September 2010. In 2018, he played the role of Rudolf Nureyev in the Ralph Fiennes film “Nureyev. The White Crow".

For more than 20 years, Don Quixote has fascinated Ufa spectators with bright and thoughtful stage images, an exciting plot, and sophisticated directing, revealing new meanings with each viewing. In 2018, the Don Quixote ballet was presented on the stage of the Carlo Felice Theater in Genoa (Italy) as part of the Russian Seasons festival.

Kitri will be performed by the prima ballerina of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater, Honored Artist of Bashkortostan, winner of the All-Russian and International Competition Winner Valeria Isaeva. Herman Kim, the Honored Art Worker of Bashkortostan will conduct the performance.
