Ufa “Library Night 2019” will be dedicated to Year of Theater in Russia

The Ufa Central City Library invites residents to visit the All-Russian Campaign in Support of Reading “The Library Night 2019” - “From Theater to Book”. On April 19 is the only day of the year when libraries will be open from morning until late evening. This evening the Central City Library will open its doors to talented writers, artists, and singers. Events of the jubilee year 2019 will be reflected on the venues of “Library Night”.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim, his poems will be performed in languages of various nationalities. The presentation of the encyclopedia "Republic of Bashkortostan" will be timed to the 100th anniversary of the republic.

The Ufa residents will have unforgettable meetings with actors of the theater and cinema: the State Academic Russian Drama Theater and the Ufa State Tatar Theater “Nur”. The Student Variety Theater of Bashkir State Medical University "Atlanta" and Playback Theater "Em-Patio" will present their performances. For the smallest viewers, the play “How the African Lion Sold Books” will be shown, as well as all those who wish can take part in the casting to participate in the filming of the “Journey to the Fairy Tale” TV show.

Visitors will be able to see the books of the 19th and early 20th centuries at the rare books exhibition "Books of the Century, Books for the Ages".

The “Library Night 2019” will be closed with the Wanderers Fire Theater, a concert and a prize draw.
