Street in Kazan will be named after Mustai Karim

The name of the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim will be given to a street in the Kirovsky district of Kazan, the Mustai Karim Foundation reported. The corresponding decree was signed by the executive committee of the Kazan City Council.

The name of the writer is assigned to streets in many localities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, including in Ufa. In January 2018, the name of Mustai Karim was given to a street in the Danilovsky district of Moscow, and in January 2019 – to a street in the Auezovsky district of Almaty.

On October 20, 2019, 100 years since the birth of the national poet of Bashkortostan will be celebrated. In accordance with the order of the Government of Russia of December 22, 2017, the anniversary celebration will be held at the federal level.
