"Argymak" group won Grand Prix of International Ethnological Festival "Universe of Nomads"

The Bashkir ethnic-rock group “Argymak” won the Grand Prix at the “Universe of Nomads” International Ethnic Festival. The big festival was held in the city of Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of the "CAMELFESTIVAL" named after King Abdul Aziz from March 9 to 19.

The team represented Russia and competed for the title of the best performer in the nominations of ethnic music and an ethnic hit among numerous groups from around the world.

According to the terms of the creative competition, representatives of each country were to demonstrate a coherent national program reflecting the history, culture, and life of the people in the scenic, playing, craft art forms. The delegation of each country prepared at least five concert programs.

At the end of last year, after Bashkir artists performed in Kyrgyzstan at the World Games of Nomads, “Argymak” was invited as a guest of the event. However, the musicians showed a desire to perform in the competition program, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic reported.
