Mustai Karim’s name will be given to newest Russian cruise liner

From now on, the name of the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim will be carried by the Russian cruise liner of the “Vodohod” company. Photos of design projects for staterooms and public spaces of the liner under construction were published by RIA Novosti.

The "Mustai Karim" will be one of the first cruise liners in the post-Soviet history. The ship is designed as a "floating hotel". It will meet the level of a five-star hotel and provide the highest class service. Observation lounges, restaurants, bars, a spa, a gym, a hairdressing salon, as well as a large open-air solarium on the upper deck will be provided on board. The length of the vessel is 141 meters, the passenger capacity is 342 people, the crew size is 144 people. The speed is 22.5 kilometers per hour.

The liner will go on the route Moscow - St. Petersburg. According to the contract, the vessel will be handed over to the customer by the end of February 2020.

In the autumn of 2017, one of the passenger airliners of Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet 100 was given the name of Mustai Karim. In December 2018, following the results of the popular vote in the framework of the federal project “Great Names of Russia”, the name of Mustai Karim was chosen for assignment to the Ufa International Airport.

A 100th anniversary of the birth of the national poet of Bashkortostan will be celebrated on October 20, 2019. In accordance with the order of the Russian Government, the anniversary celebration will be held at the federal level.
