Italian flute player Claudio Montafia and famous Rachmaninov Trio will perform in Ufa

On March 15, a charity concert of one of the leading European performers Claudio Montafia (Italy, flute) and the famous Rachmaninov trio - Viktor Yampolsky (piano), Natalia Savinova (cello) and Mikhail Tsinman (violin) will be held in Ufa.

Musicians will perform in the F.I. Chaliapin Concert Hall in the framework of the musical-educational project “Masters of the world performing arts - to the talents of Russia”. The program includes works by Bach, Haydn, Weber.

Famous performers will also conduct master classes for students and teachers of the Ufa State Institute of Arts. Following the results of all master classes held in the regions of the country, each teacher will select the best student for his/her specialty, who will be offered an internship.

The musical and educational project was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Russia with the support of PJSC Gazprom. The project started on September 11, 2018 in Saratov and will end in May 2019 in St. Petersburg. The geography of the project also included Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Astrakhan, Vladivostok, Samara, Kazan, Tomsk.

Claudio Montafia is one of the leading flutists of Europe, released music albums in collaboration with such famous companies as Tactus, Rainbow, Denon. He performs as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles at numerous international music festivals: Evian, Montreux, Settembre Musica Lancut, Frankfurt Flute Festival. Currently, he is a professor at the Pollini Conservatory in Padua and the first flutist of the Venice Philharmonic Orchestra.
