“Culture” national project implementation has begun in Russia

The implementation of the national project “Culture” has started in Russia. In this connection, the rules for the distribution of subsidies from the federal budget to the budgets of the subjects of the Federation for the support of the cultural sector and the selection criteria are specified. The corresponding decree was published on the portal of the Government of the Russian Federation.

It is planned that by the end of 2024, within the framework of the national project, 1,800 cultural, educational institutions will be replenished with musical instruments, equipment and training materials, 500 rural cultural and leisure facilities will be built, reconstructed or will have major repairs, 600 automobile clubs for rural areas will be acquired.

The federal budget for 2019 and the planned period of 2020 and 2021 within the state program "Development of Culture and Tourism" for 2013-2020 provides for subsidies to the subjects of the Federation for these purposes.
