Marcel Salimov is awarded Jack London International Literary Prize

The Klas's International Art Center in San Francisco, USA, announced the winners of the 2019 Jack London International Literary and Art Prize. Among them, there is our countryman, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation and the BSSR, holder of the Order of Friendship, satirical novelist and poet, journalist and public figure Marcel Salimov (Mar. Salim).

The world-famous Bashkir satirical novelist was honored with a high international award for the original «The Book, Which Has Never Been Written Before», published in English in London. For this award, the book was nominated by the International Academy of Literature, Art, and Communication (Germany, Frankfurt-am-Main), of which Marcel Salimov is a full member.

The Jack London International Prize was established last year. The first winners were such renown writers of the world as Tatyana and Sergei Dzyuba, Vasil Slapchuk (Ukraine), Elena Ananyeva (Germany), Galimkair Mutanov (Kazakhstan), Mikhail Spivak (Canada).

The news from America was a wonderful gift for the 70th anniversary of Marcel Salimov, whose literary and social activities are dedicated to establishing friendly and professional contacts, developing cultural cooperation between the Bashkir and other nations, both in Russia and abroad.
