Radiy Khabirov: Sibay Regional Local Lore Museum is pride of city

The Sibay Regional Museum of Local Lore is a pride of the city. Radiy Khabirov examined almost all the expositions of the cultural and scientific institution. According to the director of the museum, Albina Yarmullina, the total number of museum collections is practically 12 thousand items, including the main collection - 7952 items. Of these, 1,615 items were included in the state catalog of the Museum Fund of Russia (13.5%). Up to 20 thousand people come here per year.

“12 thousand unique holdings are in the Sibay Regional Museum of Local Lore, 1615 of them were included in the State Catalog of the Museum Collection of Russia. I was pleasantly surprised with it; not every city can boast of such wealth, such a special spirit of patriotism and pride in their native land. And every corner, every hall of the museum is decorated with devotion and is used to the maximum. School lessons are held here; guided tours are conducted”, Radiy Khabirov posted on his social media account with impressions after visiting the museum.

The museum is located in a building constructed in 1995. It occupies part of the first floor of a 5-storey residential building, although it should be separate premises due to technical requirements.

“We do not have enough space to store museum items, and we need a room for a fund storage facility, a scientific library. It requires the creation of an exhibition dedicated to the intangible cultural heritage of the Bashkir people, using IT-technologies. The building needs major repairs to the facade, entrance group, and roof, ”the museum director said.

Radiy Khabirov noted that the republic would render its financial assistance regarding repairing the facade and roof.
