Traditions of arts patronage are revived at “Aksakovskaya Elka-2019” in Ufa

On January 10, a charity event called “Aksakovskaya Elka-2019” will be held at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater. About 300 special children, having problems with health, appeared in difficult family circumstances, children of war veterans have been invited to it.

“We have decided to make the social children’s New- Year party a traditional one. This is a revival of the traditions of arts patronage of the Aksakov people's house. Our artists, as well as puppet theater animators and holiday agencies will take part in the festival. The children will be shown a performance at the New-Year tree in the Greek Hall, then they will be invited to the musical fairy tale “The Flying Ship” and they will also be given presents”, the theater’s general director Ilmar Almukhametov told about the upcoming event at a press conference.

Famous children's doctor Leonid Roshal, First Lady of the Republic Karine Khabirova and People’s Artist of Bashkortostan Askar Abdrazakov are invited as honorary guests to the Aksakovskaya Elka.

According to Ilmar Almukhametov, an accessible environment is created in the theater - there are special lifts and a toilet, and the silver volunteers and students of the Ufa Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia will help the children at the festival.

Today, the Aksakovsky Grandfather Frost will visit some children who cannot attend the holiday due to health reasons.

The organizers of the Aksakovskaya Elka -2019 are the administration of the city of Ufa and the Kirovsky district of the city, the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, the Ufa enterprises and banks.
