“The Visit” film about Rudolf Nureyev was presented by theater critic Ariane Dollfus in Paris

UFA, 6 December 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The “Visit” feature film was shown in the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Paris. The film, dedicated to the great dancer Rudolf Nureyev, was shot in Ufa by Bashkir director Bulat Yusupov.

The event brought together admirers of Rudolf Nureyev’s talent. The film was presented to the general public by the French journalist and theater critic Ariane Dollfus, who personally knew Nureyev.

The event takes place within the framework of the foreign tour of the international project “Nureyevsky Seasons”. Several companies joined their efforts to conduct the "Nureyevsky Seasons". Among them, there were “Andris Liepa Production”, the “Svoy Pocherk” film company, the Moscow State Philharmonic Society, the State Tretyakov Gallery, Rossotrudnichestvo and a number of other institutions.

The basis of the film narrative is a real event of 1977 when Queen of Jordan Dina bin Abdel Hamid arrived in Ufa on an official visit to deliver the news about Rudolf Nureyev to his mother.
