Ethnic beauty and talent contest "Miss International Ufa" named its winners in Ufa

A colorful show took place on the stage of the Congress Hall - the republican contest of ethnic beauty and talent “Miss International Ufa”. More than 700 spectators gathered for the event. 12 girls of different nationalities presented their culture to Ufa residents.

The title of “Miss International Ufa-2018” was won by the representative of Tajikistan Raano Umurzakova.

Karina Akhvlediani from Georgia became the 1st runner-up, and Narkas Aralbaeva from Bashkortostan received the crown of the 2nd runner-up.

The title “Miss Friendship” was awarded to Chuvash Ekaterina Yemelyanova from Bizhbulyak District. The prize in this nomination is tailoring of a national costume by designer Salima Usmanova.

The inter-ethnic beauty and talent contest “Miss International Ufa” was held for the first time and gathered in one place representatives from different countries and peoples of Russia. Among the finalists were girls from Adygea, Egypt, Georgia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, as well as representatives of Bashkirs, Tatars, Russians, Udmurts, and Chuvash. The contestants talked about themselves in their native language, sang folk songs and presented their national dances. In addition, they answered questions about the history and culture of Bashkortostan.

Each of the participants honorably presented their nationality. The organizers hope that the contest will be annual.

The event was held by the House of Peoples' Friendship and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as with funds from a grant from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, which the author of the project Zemfira Rashitova had won this summer at the Tavrida forum. According to her, the event was one of the key events of her life.

“It is safe to say that we have successfully implemented the project. The finalists vividly and with dignity presented their nationality, and most importantly, the Congress-Hall had the feel of real national unity and friendship. The event creates a unique platform for all ages, where, in a bright show format, everyone gets acquainted with the traditions and culture of different countries. I would like to thank our team represented by the producers Azalia Dilmukhametova and Zalina Murzagulova, Aizilya Mulyukova (PR and SMM)”, said Zemfira Rashitova.
