TURKSOY orchestra played Bashkir kurai in Japan

UFA, 26 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Bashkir kurai as part of TURKSOY folk instruments orchestra sounded in Japan. The Republic of Bashkortostan was represented in the international project by a soloist of the "Miras" Song and Dance Ensemble Murat Janizakov.

The Japanese city of Tokyo was the first in the tour. The orchestra consisted of ethnic musical instruments of the Turkic world, conducted master classes on traditional instruments and dances of the Turkic peoples for students of the conservatory at the Tokyo University of Art. In turn, as part of the program, the visiting artists got an opportunity to take part in a creative master class by Japanese teachers.

50 artists from 12 countries, including soloists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, as well as Bashkortostan, Sakha (Yakutia) and Tuva (Russia, Mongolia and Gagauzia (Moldova)) participated in the concert as the TURKSOY orchestra.

According to the press service of TURKSOY, the tour of the folk instruments orchestra continued in the Japanese cities of Kawasaki, Yokohama, and Hamamatsu.
