Yerkin Tukumov proposed to hold Kazakhstan Culture Days in Bashkortostan

UFA, 23 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Yesterday, in Ufa, as part of a visit of the delegation of the Kazakhstan Consulate General in the city of Kazan, a meeting was held at the Bashinform News Agency.

“We suggest developing a roadmap on the interaction of our republics, which will include issues of economic, cultural and informational cooperation. There is a proposal to hold the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Bashkortostan and the Days of Culture of Bashkortostan in Astana”, said the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Kazan, Yerkin Tukumov. He marked the common language, culture, and customs of our peoples.

Having learned about the upcoming events related to the 100th anniversary of Bashkortostan formation and the 100th anniversary of the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim, the Consul General emphasized the prospects for the development of joint contacts in the field of cultural event tourism and information exchange.

The head of the Press and Media Agency RB, Boris Melkoedov acquainted the guest with the peculiarities of development and the current state of the media sphere of Bashkortostan, presented him the "Agidel" and "Bashkortostan Kyzy" magazines in the Bashkir language.

The General Director of the Bashinform News Agency Maxim Ulchev said that back in August 2017, a bilateral cooperation agreement had been signed between the Bashinform Agency and the International Information Agency Kazinform, which resulted in the exchange of news, photos, materials for creating reports.

The Consul General noted that the largest group of foreign students in universities in Ufa was from Kazakhstan, about 600 people.

“There is a pending problem - a big request to open a direct flight. As we open the flight, business and tourism will develop. You will have many events in 2019, we also have something to present”, said Yerkin Tukumov.

The Consul General stressed that Kazakhstan has the largest border with Russia - about 7.5 thousand km. Kazakh citizens should know three languages - Kazakh, Russian and English.
