Rudolf Nureyev’s French biographer Ariane Dollfus will present “Visit” film in Paris

The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Paris holds a three-day Film Festival as part of the “Nureyev Seasons” project devoted to the anniversary of Rudolf Nureyev, the legendary dancer, and famous choreographer.
The program of the film forum includes documentaries and feature films, including the “The Visit” film by Bashkir director Bulat Yusupov. The screening will take place on December 5.
The film will be presented to the general public by the French journalist and theater critic Ariane Dollfus. She repeatedly met with him for an interview and known as the author of the book “Rudolf Nureyev. Furious Genius”.
“The Visit” is a short feature film dedicated to the outstanding ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev, whose childhood was spent in Ufa. The film was shot for the grant of the head of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. In 2014, the film was shown in the republic.
The film is based on an actual episode related to Rudolf Nureyev. In 1977, the representative of the Jordan royal family Dina bin Abdel Hamid arrived in Ufa on an official visit. Her true goal was a secret meeting with the mother of Rudolf Nureyev, to deliver her a message from her son.
