“Miss International - Ufa”: girls will represent 12 ethnicities of world for first time in Ufa

UFA, 23 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. For the first time, an International Contest of Beauty and Talent “Miss International - Ufa” is being held in Ufa for the first time. The final will take place at the Congress Hall on November 27.

The contest involves girls from 18 to 28 years old - representatives of different nationalities living in the territory of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The peculiarity of the competition is that height and parameters do not matter, each of the participants should be able to represent the culture of their people. On the eve of the final of the project, a press conference was held at the Bashinform News Agency.

Applications for participation in the contest were submitted by 57 girls. The twelve brightest and most talented were selected of them. All of them live in Bashkortostan; however, many are natives of the regions of Russia, the CIS, and other countries. Thus, among the contestants there are Russian, Bashkir, Tatar, Chuvash, Udmurt girls, as well as representatives of other countries - Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, India, Nigeria, Egypt. In the final, the participants will give performances - they will sing and dance, some even play the violin.

At the press conference, 12 beauties came in national costumes and brought their own national dishes, cooked with their own hands.

The head of the project “Miss International - Ufa” and the Youth Council at the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan Zemfira Rashitova conducts an event with a grant of 200 thousand rubles received at the “Tavrida” forum.

The jury members - showman Celestin Julien and host Siyavush Shermatszade noted that it was very difficult to choose the best girls.

The girl, who will win the Grand Prix, will be presented with a trip to one of the foreign countries, as well as a gold necklace. The holder of the “Miss Friendship” title will receive a certificate for tailoring a national costume. Among the prizes, there is also jewelry.

The producer of the “Miss International - Ufa” contest Zalina Murzagulova stressed that the contest would be able to give impetus to the further development of inter-ethnic youth policy in Bashkortostan. The organizers hope that the contest will become traditional.
