"Shulgan-Tash" rock painting objects nominated by UNESCO will be presented in Paris

A presentation of Bashkortostan timed to the 20th anniversary of the republic’s cooperation with UNESCO will take place at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Paris on November 19th and 20th.

"The international community will see a presentation of "Shulgan-Tash" rock painting objects nominated by UNESCO for inclusion in the World Heritage List of UNESCO and First Russian Geopark Yangan- Tau for inclusion in the Global Network of UNESCO Geoparks», the Committee RB for UNESCO Affairs reports.

Negotiations with the UNESCO Deputy Director General Xing Qu will be held under the auspices of the Russian Commission for UNESCO Affairs and the Representative Office of the Russian Federation under UNESCO.

The center will organize two roundtables on the objects nominated by UNESCO. The participation of officials, specialists and experts of UNESCO, European and Russian scientists, representatives of museums-reserves, museum complexes and geoparks with UNESCO international status is planned.
