Bashkir singer voice is included in composition of Deep Forest new album

UFA, 6 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The French band Deep Forest together with British DJ Daniel Gaudi released an Epic Circuits album. It included a Brassy Sunrise composition, in which the voice of the Bashkir singer Zilia Bakhtieva sounds. A fragment of the Bashkir song "Bolon" is used in the composition.

The project was conceived more than a year ago when Erik Mouquet visited Bashkortostan at the International Festival of Arts "The Heart of Eurasia" and got acquainted with the national culture of the republic. The Brassy Sunrise was the first result of this creative communication.

Yesterday in the conference hall of the Bashinform News Agency an online conference of European musicians with Bashkir colleagues was held. During the meeting, Eric and Gaudi got acquainted with Ziliya Bakhtieva.

The European musicians continue to work with Bashkir folk material. A new unique project is being prepared - the recording of a new Deep Forest album with a symphony orchestra. About a dozen of the best compositions of the group for a quarter century of its existence are selected for it. Their list will include a composition with the Bashkir theme.

The conference was also attended by the leading musicians of Bashkortostan - the Argymak group, the leader of the Kuraisy group, Robert Yuldashev, the conductor Linar Davletbaev, the composer and producer Marat Fayzullin (Taturas).

On the eve of the World Folklore Festival, which will be held in 2020 in Bashkortostan, such cooperation in the field of world music is of particular importance. European musicians were shown a video announcing the Folklore Festival and were offered to mention this event during the presentation of the Brassy Sunrise composition.

In 2019, a large international tour of the Deep Forest is planned. Musicians have not yet decided exactly which cities and countries they will visit with concerts. At the same time, the musicians accepted the idea of including Russian cities and, in particular, Ufa, in their tour with enthusiasm.

The Deep Forest group is a founder of the world music genre, created in 1992 in France. The peculiarity of such music is a combination of ethnic tunes with electronic compositions and arrangements. The group participated in the UNESCO projects, is a holder of the most prestigious musical award of the world Grammy.
