Ildar Abdrazakov will sing at "Casta Diva" awarding opera ceremony

On October 15, a ceremony and a concert of laureates of the Russian Opera Prize “Casta Diva” will take place in Moscow.

The ceremony involves theater laureates: the Bolshoi Theater of Russia and the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater. Soloists of the leading stages of Russia and the world: laureates of different years, as well as soloists of the winning theaters and guests of honor - soloists of the Novaya Opera Theater, will perform on the stage of the Novaya Opera Theater.

The program includes performances by Ildar Abdrazakov, Zarina Abaeva, Anna Aglatova, Agunda Kulaeva, Vladislav Sulimsky, Konstantin Suchkov, Alexei Tatarintsev, Dmitry Ulyanov, Victoria Yarovaya.

A native of Ufa, people's artist of Bashkortostan and world-famous opera singer Ildar Abdrazakov was recognized as the winner of the Casta Diva award in 2016. Critics praised three of his roles: Mephistopheles in Faust at the Salzburg Festival, Philip II at Don Carlos (debut at the Bolshoi Theater of Russia), Lindorf, Coppelius, Dapertutto, Miracle in the Tales of Hoffmann at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theater. One of the most sought-after opera bass and winner of "voice in a million" won in the nomination "Singer of the Year."
