Ballet premiere dedicated to the World Cup in Russia took place in Ufa

UFA, 8 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. A ballet with elements of a football match has happened for the first time in Ufa. A premiere of the ballet “To football!” took place on the stage of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater and gathered a full house of the audience.

29 dancers, a choreographer from Moscow Alexey Ischuk, composer Ruslan Mursyakaev, artist Irina Deryabina and director-conductor, honored art worker of Bashkiria German Kim presented the football en pointe.

The plot is based on a love story: viewers, along with heroes of an unusual production in a modern dance style, watched two football matches of professionals and amateurs, visited the stadium and got acquainted with the elements of Good Luck, Attack, Defense, Anger, Rules, and Doping.

The premiere of the "To Football!" ballet was attended by coaches and employees of the Ufa football club. William Oliveira came to the new production with his wife. Also among the spectators was the head coach of the Bashkir team, Sergei Tomarov.

The premiere of the ballet was to take place on the Ufa stage in the days of the World Cup. However, it was postponed to October 7 for technical reasons.
