Bashkir film "Etegen" - participant of International Turkic Film Festival in Istanbul

UFA, 3 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Bashkir film "Etegen" takes part in the International Festival of Turkic Cinema. The film in the nomination "fiction film" presented by its director Aysyuak Yumagulov will be shown in Istanbul today.

The musical film "Etegen" is based on national legends and folk songs. The film director is Aysyuak Yumagulov, the author of the idea, the director of photography and the producer is Riyaz Iskhakov. At the heart of the picture is a legend about seven girls, seven different female life stories, among them “Tashtugai”, “Alpamysha”, “Magisaruar”, “Bala Karga”.

The International Festival of Turkic cinema started in Istanbul yesterday, the reporter of «Tatar-Inform» Rushania Altai informed. Films from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Northern Cyprus, Uzbekistan take part in the festival. Russia is represented by films from Bashkortostan and Tatarstan. Total, 140 works from 28 countries applied for participation in the competition. The Republic of Tatarstan will be presented by the feature film “Mullah” and the documentary “Tugan Il Buylap: Aktanysh”.
