Preparations for 28th International Aksakov Festival are underway in Bashkiria

This year the traditional holiday will be held in Ufa, Belebey, Karmaskaly and Ufa districts on September 28-29.

On September 28, folk festivals, exhibitions of arts and crafts and folk art are organized in the S.T. Aksakov Public Garden. The Aksakovsky People's House - the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater will host a gala evening.

An exhibition dedicated to the 195th anniversary of the birth of I.S. Aksakov will open in the memorial house-museum of S.T. Aksakov.

Aksakov's lessons will be held in the Aksakov school-gymnasium No. 11 in Ufa and the Ufa branch of the State Naval and River Fleet University named after Admiral S.O. Makarov.

In the Pushkin alley, honorable guests of the festival will lay flowers to the monument of S.T. Aksakov.

On September 29, a roundtable "Aksakovs Family - as an Example of Serving the Fatherland", dedicated to the 195th anniversary of I.S. Aksakov is scheduled to be held in Belebey district.
