Orchestra will perform in Shulgan-Tash Cave for first time

UFA, 13 September 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The National Folk Instruments Orchestra of Bashkortostan will give a concert in the Shulgan-Tash Cave hall.
The event will be held on September 15 as part of the 48th CIOFF World Congress, which will be held on the eve of the 6th World Folklore Festival in Ufa from September 15 to 25.
The orchestra took an offer to play in the Shulgan-Tash Cave with enthusiasm and delight, the press service of the Bashkir Philharmonic Society reports. Such practice exists all over the world, and this will happen in our republic for the first time.
The orchestra will present a program, which will feature 15 compositions. It will be an authentic kurai playing, a Bashkir song, works by contemporary Bashkir composers.
The soloists of the Yatagan ethnic group Ildar Shakirov and Rasim Lugamanov, as well as soloist vocalist of the Philharmonic Society Marcel Kutuev, will perform together with the National Folk Instruments Orchestra.
The CIOFF World Congress is held annually in different member countries of the organization with the participation of representatives of all member-states. Holding this significant event in the republic will allow the CIOFF management and members to get acquainted with Bashkortostan more closely and partially test the infrastructure planned to be used during the Folklore Festival in 2020.
The CIOFF World Congress will last 11 days. 200 representatives of the Executive Committee and the national sections of the CIOFF from 60 countries will take part in its activities. The events will be held at several venues of the city: the Sheraton Hotel, the State Assembly - the Kurultay RB, the Congress Hall.
