Unique violin will be awarded to Vladimir Spivakov Violin Competition winner in Ufa

A winner of the 2nd International Violin Competition Vladimir Spivakov will be presented a unique violin in the capital of Bashkortostan. The instrument, created in 1912 by the Italian master Riccardo Antoniazzi will be presented to the winner of the contest at a gala concert in the "Bashkortostan" State Concert Hall on September 21.
The winner of the 1st Violin Competition Vladimir Spivakov Daniel Lozakovich was awarded the instrument by the Turin master of the 19th century Carlo Giuseppe Oddone.
In 2018, holders of 2 and 3 prizes will receive the instruments by Jules Grangjon (Paris, 1848) and Igor Ulitsky (Moscow, 2017). The prize fund also includes two separate prizes of $ 1,000 each and special prizes from the art director of the contest Vladimir Spivakov.
In Ufa - the hometown of the maestro, preparations are in full swing for the violin competition, which he initiated two years ago. The competition will be held on September 17 and will last four days.
According to the results of the qualifying round, 12 young performers aged 16 to 26 became its participants. These are Issei Kurihara (Japan), Maria Duenas (Spain), Fedor Beznosikov (Russia Moscow), Stepan Starikov (Russia, Moscow), Kim Eugene (South Korea), Sophie Rokhlin (Israel), I Ming Mao (China, study in the US), Anna Milman (Spain), Asiya Garipova (Russia, Ufa), Olga Golomovzuk (Russia, Moscow), Merili Leotoots (Estonia), Dennis Gasanov (Russia, Moscow).
The performance will be judged by the international jury, led by an outstanding violinist, Michael Kopelman (USA). The jury will also include Vladimir Spivakov (Russia), Boris Kushnir (Austria), Qian Zhou (Singapore), Takashi Shimizu (Japan), Sergei Dogadin (Russia).
Competition of young violinists will be held in three rounds. In the first and second rounds, the participants will present solo programs. In the third round, the finalists will perform one of the violin concerts by the composers of the 19-20th centuries, accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The results of the competition will be announced on the last day of the auditions - September 20, 2018.
