According to the results of the qualifying round, 12 young musicians were admitted to participate in the Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition. The age of participants is from 15 years to 26 years. They are:
Fedor Beznosikov (Russia Moscow);
Stepan Starikov (Russia, Moscow);
Kim Eugene (South Korea);
I Ming Mao (China, studying in the US);
Asiya Garipova (Russia, Ufa);
Olga Golomovzuk (Russia, Moscow);
Merili Leotoots (Estonia);
Dennis Gasanov (Russia, Moscow).
The list of participants includes only one representative of Bashkortostan - a 22-year-old Asiya Garipova, the fifth-year student at St. Petersburg Conservatory in the class of Alexander Stang. Asiya graduated from the Ufa Secondary Special Music College, she is a laureate of numerous international, all-Russian and republican competitions.
The youngest participant in the competition is 15-year-old Maria Duenas.
The competition will be held in Ufa at the "Bashkortostan" State Concert Hall from September 17 to 21. The first prize is a violin by Riccardo Antoniacci (1912, Milan), the second and third prizes - a violin by Jules Grangjon, included in the book "The Treasury of French Strings of the 19th Century", and a violin by Igor Ulitsky of 2017.
