Bashkiria delegation took part in Hun-Turkic peoples forum in Hungary

In Hungary, near the city of Bugat, in the Kishkunshag National Park, the 6th Kurultaj of the Hun-Turkic peoples was held. It is conducted once every two years and is one of the largest holidays of culture, folklore and sports in Europe. The forum was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, North Cyprus, and Korea. Representatives of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Tuva, Buryatia and Sakha (Yakutia) were invited from Russia.

310 delegates, representatives of 28 peoples of the world, more than 100 yurts, about 500 horsemen were present at the event.

The first official meeting of Kurultaj delegates with the leadership of the National Assembly took place in the building of the Hungarian parliament.

The participants of the forum and guests were welcomed by the organizer of this large-scale event in Europe, the chairman of the Turan Foundation, Doctor of Sciences András Biro Zsolt, the Vice Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Lejak Sandor, the President of the International Turkic Academy (Kazakhstan) Darkhan Kadrali, the Chairman of the Hungarian National Assembly Kever Laszlo.

The festive event was opened by the parade of Kurultaj delegates, among which were representatives of Bashkortostan in Bashkir national costumes. Magyar riders, archers showed visitors military skills of the Middle Ages.

A photo exhibition of artifacts found at the monument of archeology of federal significance "Hillfort Ufa-II" was held for the first time within the framework of the Kurultai.

Bashkir scientists - Doctor of Philology Firdaus Khisametdinov, Candidates of Philology Irena and Gulnur Kulsarins - took part in the international conference on the history of nomadic peoples.

At the closing ceremony of Kurultaj, the Bashkir delegation presented memorable gifts to the organizer of the event András Biro Zsolt. The concert performances of the Bashkir delegation were greeted with stormy applause.

At the closing of Kurultaj all participants gathered around the fire of friendship. Hundreds of Hungarian musicians accompanied the event.
