Bashkir chak-chak amazed festival participants in Spain

UFA, 13 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. In Spain, a traditional 32nd International Festival of Culture is held. In the city of Myahadas, the festival participants had an opportunity to present their national cuisine.

Peruvians cooked mojito with tequila, Russians - okroshka, Mexicans and Paraguayans - cold appetizers, Georgians - tartlets. Representatives of Bashkortostan amazed everybody with chak-chak (national dessert made with honey). The favorite dessert was masterfully prepared by the actress of the Youth Theater Zulmara Karabulatova.

The organizers provided the participants with products, but the honey was brought from Bashkortostan. Total, five trays of chak-chak was cooked. According to Zulmara, she learned the art of chak-chak making from her mother and cooks it from her childhood for all the holidays.

At the festival many people wanted to take photos with representatives of Bashkortostan and their spectacular chak-chak.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the "Aitugan" folk dance ensemble represented the Republic of Bashkortostan at international festivals in Spain and Portugal.
