Chaliapin Contest Grand Prix will amount to 350 thousand rubles in Ufa

UFA, 10 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Applications for the 2nd F. Chaliapin International Vocal Contest can be submitted for 10 more days until August 20.

Young vocalists are invited to participate in the contest. Participants will be selected by the sent video. The competition consists of two rounds: arias and romances, accompanied by pianoforte and arias accompanied by a symphony orchestra.

The Grand Prix of the contest is 350 thousand rubles.

The laureate of the 1st prize (male and female voices) will receive 200,000 rubles each, the second prize winner (male and female voices) - 150,000 rubles, the third prize winner - male and female voices - 100,000 rubles.

Besides, two diplomas of 50,000 rubles and special jury prizes will be awarded.

The winners of the Grand Prix, the first and second prizes will perform at a gala concert of the festival on September 25.

The contest will be held within the framework of the International Festival of Opera Art "Chaliapin Evenings in Ufa" from September 20 to 25. The project of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater is designed to support young talented performers. The partner of the contest is Zagir Ismagilov’s Ufa State Institute of Arts.

The jury will be chaired by the People's Artist of Bashkortostan, laureate of international competitions Askar Abdrazakov.
