185 projects are applying for grants of Bashkortostan Head for languages preservation and development

UFA, 8 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. 185 projects have been successfully selected for the grants of the Head of Bashkortostan aimed at preserving and developing the state languages and languages of the peoples of the republic. Among them, there are projects in the field of culture, education, sport and youth policy, media, science.

A total of 325 applications were submitted to the Ministry of Culture RB. On July 31 - August 1, Ufa hosted a meeting of the Expert Council chaired by Rafail Shafikov. The Council reviewed each project for compliance with the grant procedure. During consideration of the contest materials, 140 projects were rejected by the council members.

The selected projects will be submitted to the contest commission under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister RB Salavat Sagitov. The meeting of the commission will be held in mid-August.
