Works by 17-year-old artist from Ufa will decorate Tretyakov Gallery

The works by the 17-year-old resident of the Bashkir capital, Milana Maksyutova, will decorate one of the halls of the Tretyakov Gallery. The student of the Ufa Art College received this opportunity for her victory in the "Avangardist" competition of the "Generation M" charitable project.

Under the terms of the competition, participants from all over Russia aged 11 to 18 years were required to perform an art work in one of the artistic trends of abstract art and to present it to leading art critics and artists and educators of the Tretyakov Gallery. Milana submitted to the experts' judgment her works in the technique of lino print.

The works of Ufa and 20 more young artists, winners of Generation M from 12 Russian regions will be exhibited in the Tretyakov Gallery this autumn.

The project is initiated and implemented by MTS company, uniting the idea of developing the creative abilities of children in different areas of art and raising funds for the treatment of seriously ill children.

Users receive points for the uploaded works, votes given on the portal, as well as for "likes" and "reposts" on social networks, and thus replenish the general charitable account, which is updated in real time on the main page of the project site. At the end of the year, MTS transfers points into real money and transfers them to children. In the framework of the Generation M project, more than 15 million rubles have been collected, which were directed for operations of 42 children.
