"Theater of Seven Girls" film about Bashkir theater won at film festival in California

UFA, 1 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The "Theater of Seven Girls" film about the Salavat Bashkir Drama Theater was awarded at the Benicia Film Festival (Benish, California, USA).
The work of director Kirsten Gainet has been recognized as the best in the "Best Art in Film" nomination. The film screening will be held in Benicia Veteran's Hall on September 1, 2018.
The organizers noted that such a touching film was a great finding for them. In addition to the diploma, the winner receives a cash certificate.
"I am pleased with the results of our work. During the year of the festival life, the film received 10 awards and participated in 23 festivals, from Kazan to India, Turkey, and America. The film about the history of the provincial Bashkir theater, which we created without financial support, has become very significant for foreign and Russian viewers", Kirsten Gainet said.
Kirsten Gainet (Gainetdinova) is a director, producer and cameraman. She lives in Istanbul. The plot of the film "Theater of the Seven Girls" is a story of the Salavat Theater, which survived the war thanks to the brave and talented actresses. The director worked on the film for more than two years. The author of voice-over text is her sister Evita Gainet.
