Two Ufa ballets premieres are dedicated to 200th anniversary of Marius Petipa and 80th anniversary of Rudolf Nureyev

In Ufa, a premiere of one-act ballet "Rhapsody" to the music of Sergei Rachmaninov and "The Seasons or the Mysterious Garden" by Alexander Glazunov will be dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Marius Petipa birth, the 80th birthday of Rudolf Nureyev and the Year of Ballet in Russia.

On June 28, the jubilee 80th theatrical season of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater will be closed.

"The classics are not boring, they are beautiful and interesting," says the author of the project - the famous choreographer and ballet dancer, laureate of international competitions, resident-choreographer of the London Russian Ballet School, Dmitry Antipov (London).

"The Seasons, or the Mysterious Garden" is a ballet written by Alexander Glazunov a century ago. In neoclassical production at the junction of tradition and modernity, the language of dance and live music will unite into a new dynamic visual design created by a young team of art directors - Aidar Galeev and Maria Rednikova.

The chief conductor of the theater, honored artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, laureate of the Russian National Theater Prize "Golden Mask" Artem Makarov will perform as the musical director of the productions.

Computer graphics and animation will be used in the production.
